To empower communities by promoting health equity and access through innovative education, public awareness campaigns, and community-centered services. Our vision is to be a trusted leader in addressing the unique health challenges faced by African American men, with a focus on prostate cancer, mental health, and substance abuse. By leveraging digital platforms like social media and YouTube, and establishing neighborhood screening centers that provide free health screenings and outpatient services, we aim to foster healthier lives, stronger families, and vibrant urban communities.
The Isaiah Marshall Foundation is dedicated to promoting health equity and improving the well-being of African American men by addressing the unique health challenges they face. Our mission is to create accessible and sustainable solutions for critical health issues such as prostate cancer, mental health, and substance abuse.
Founded in 1995, Surviving Together has been serving our communities for over 25 years. Our organization was established to address the growing need for assistance for those facing financial, medical, or social challenges.
We focus on three critical health issues that disproportionately affect African American men: prostate cancer, mental health, and substance abuse. Through targeted initiatives, we aim to raise awareness, provide education, and offer direct support to help improve health outcomes and reduce disparities.
We believe knowledge is power. Through workshops, webinars, and social media campaigns, we provide actionable information about prostate cancer, mental health, and substance abuse. Our programs are designed to empower individuals and families with the tools they need to make informed health decisions, fostering healthier lifestyles and greater community awareness.
Access to health screenings can save lives. That’s why we host free or low-cost community events offering prostate cancer checks, mental health evaluations, and substance abuse risk assessments. Our goal is to break barriers to healthcare, ensuring every individual receives the care they need to thrive.
Reaching people where they are is key to our mission. Through platforms like YouTube and social media, we share engaging videos, host live Q&A sessions, and launch awareness campaigns that resonate with our audience. These digital tools help us extend our reach and impact far beyond physical boundaries.
No one should face their struggles alone. Our support programs are tailored to the unique needs of youth survivors, offering them a compassionate community where they can find hope and resilience. From group therapy sessions to one-on-one mentoring, we work to empower young survivors to overcome challenges and build brighter futures.
When I was 12, I lost my mom to suicide.
My birthday is in March. For my birthday, we will bless a minimum of 100 young people who lost a parent to suicide.
The young people will be referred to grief counseling, receive gift cards, and free food.
